Maureen’s first experience in the environmental sector was managing R&D for an organic recycling technology. From rotting fish to renewable energy and green building, her career has covered a lot of ground in the sustainability field. She’s worked with Rocky Mountain Institute –world-renowned for research and consulting on sustainability issues, and these days you’ll find her at Vancity helping advance green business in our community. Maureen also brings her sustainability rants to the classroom for Royal Roads University and UBC; she writes curriculum for Thompson Rivers University; and she’s co-authored 3 books on sustainability topics as well.

This is a quick example of the live polling tool that we will be implementing in the next Ignite Event on June 24th. It is a real time polling and voting tool where you can send in your votes using your cell phone to either Twitter, or text message. Give it a try! You can text a KEYWORD vote to “32075″, or alternately you can Twitter your vote using the following format: @IgniteBC KEYWORD. Just substitute the topic keyword into the Twitter post.
